Thought it might be time to write a blog again....Been so so much has gone on since the last one =O Shock horror..Jo has a life!!
=P
Well, Last week Jo, Paula (Her mum), Alan (Her step-Dad), Georgie (Her older sister), Nicole (Her younger sister), Beth (Her oldest sister), Jon (Her brother-in-law through Beth) and Pippa (Their dog) all went to stay in a little cottage in Wales. =) We had a lovely time in Criccieth, North Wales. Staying in a lovely little cottage:

It housed the seven of us, and the dog of course, quite nicely.
During the week we visited friends (Rachel, David, Hannah and Jonny Retallick) Who had stayed with us the weekend beforehand. Was very fun. The week was as follows:-
Monday, A walk around the local markets. Then driving down to Black Rock Sands...where I drove the car for about three times, only stalling once and getting up to third gear!! I can't wait till October when i can drive on the roads. As Thomas VDB would say 'Beware!' =D
Tuesday. Drove into Porthmadog, parked the car, and got onto the Festiniog Steam Railway to Tanybwlch:

There we had a picnic and a walk down to a lake. Then got on the train back, which Jon, Beth, Myself and Pippa got on the last carriage and enjoyed the openness of it all! Pippa liked it especially!

Wednesday, We went to Alan's sister's house, Sarina. Was good to spend some time just chilling in their amazingly lovely converted church/house!

Thursday, We took a nice drive to a Vally somewhere not far from us. It was a bit of a rainy day! But despite this, Georgie, Beth, Nic, Pippa and I climbed up a hill...well, Beth, Nic and Pippa didn't get to the top. But Georgie and I carried on up the steep slope, only to discover the first derelict building, then a little father up and the second derelict building. Which looked as though it was once some kind of mill because it was by a stream. Maybe giving power to some other derelict buildings further up (Which we didn't go and explore). The view was lovely/amazing/incredible. It just showed the sheer awesomeness of God!

Then Friday came, we all got up early. Got in our three cars, and drove all the way to Anglesey to meet up with the Retallicks once more =) We met them, then all drove to a beach and had a lovely day at the seaside! Then they went their own way, while us seven (Plus the dog ;) went to llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch...

(Sorry if you can't see the picture very well!)

The place with the longest name in Europe!

Then us seven ourselves parted. Georgie, Nic and I went our own way from that place^^ to the Milnrow House-Party.
We got the the house-Party safe, and had a lovely time with great teaching and amazing fellowship! It was really good to see so many of my friends again =D

^^ The House-Party group (Minus Thomas who was taking the picture) on the Sunday.

Then on the Sunday we made our way home. Since then I haven't done much, except for today.

Yesterday I got a call from Mr.Lewis at Dudley zoo, asking if I could come in tomorrow (this morning) at 10:30. so this morning we set off, and got there for 10:30...only to have the interview at about 11:30!! But anyway, I went down with a few Dudley zoo people! Talked to them, they talked to me. Then I was sent back upstairs..they talked downstairs...they came back up and said that they'd like to offer me a place on the NVQ Level 3 course! So I am now going to be working at Dudley zoo in September for sure now! =)

So yes...long enough post i think!! Hope you've enjoyed all the pictures and blogging.

Blog soon!

Hello dear readers!

I've had a great weekend, you've probably all heard about it because I know all my readers from some place or another were I've been ranting and raving about the weekend. But just in case you haven't...I'll tell you again!

(If you've already heard it, then keep scrolling down till you get to something interesting XD)

On Friday I got up early...ish. Went shopping with Mum, cleaned the bathroom and cleaned my bedroom. All in time for when the Retallicks were coming to stay =D

You see, I've been talking to David for about three years, we met up two years ago, but it didn't go down too well as I was too shy and just wasn't my usual self (mad). So I was a bit apprehensive about this weekend coming up where Rachel (their mum), David, Hannah and Johnny were staying at ours.

So when they finally arrived at 03:30PM I had a few butterflies going round my tummy...But after a walk to the back to see the aeroplanes it was ok :D

We then went to our Church's bowls evening, David and I as a team came no were near first of course...But we're planning to do better next year ;)

Then on the Saturday (after getting to bed late the night before because we came home and had a few games of Dutch Blitz...Vhat Fun Ve all had!!! =P) We all got up blurry eyed, ate loads of toast (Mum told me we got through three loads of bread and two packets of butter for those two breakfasts that weekend!) we drove to Kenilworth Castle. Good fun :D All got very wet..but hey...we're home educators...it's learning and nothings going to stop us! =D

Then we came home, had tea and David, Georgie, Nicole, Hannah and I went off to Dudley for the youth rally. Was a very good talk on Proverbs 23v23 and buying the truth but not selling it.

Then we had a 50 minute car drive back home from Dudley. We came home, and sat down, except Me and David who were up in the bedroom having a good, well deserved talk and catch up =D

Then on the Sunday we all walked to church in the gusts, meeting dogs on the way, nice people on the way and Johnny being a bush and scaring two girls....=D hehe.

But then they had to go home on the Sunday afternoon :( Was very sad to see them all go...But it had to be done!

There is a chance of seeing them next week while on Holiday in Wales which I'm looking forward to as well =)

Well...That ends my eventful weekend of fun. As for today and yesterday. Well...Nothing worth telling the whole world yesterday happened...and today..I went to home ed meeting :D Was good fun...=D

So yes...Hope to hear from you and I'll be blogging soon ;)

Tata! xx

Today has been a milestone in the educational part of my life. Today I have, God willing, done my last GCSE. It was my last History exam on the changing roles of women and the Vietnam war. that isn't the only exciting thing that has happened this past few weeks.
Last week, on the Monday. There was a knock at the door, I thought to myself 'It couldn't be...not yet!' So I eagerly walked to the door and opened it...Yes..it was. My laptop had been delivered! (Ok, so maybe not as exciting as you hoped...but it was for me!) From all the money I had earned whilst working at Birmingham Law Society I had sat down and thought hard about what to buy with it, and I came up with the idea of buying a laptop which would be very helpful in September when doing all my work for college or the zoo.
Talking about the zoo, I still haven't heard any news from there...So please keep praying!

To carry on from my last blog, I has a good time at YP, and stayed over at Hannah Harding's house because Hannah B was not there. Then on the Saturday, we went shopping to Merry Hill...Now THAT was fun! We brought bunny ears. Then later on met up with Jonathan (Hannah's older brother) and his best mate, Adam. They all go to YP. We had SUCH a good time, there are pictures in various places for those of you who want to see them just say and I will show them to you! :D

Then all my exams went well, I'm just so glad to have them all over and done with. This week I've got something planned for almost every day. Tomorrow I'm going to help mum out with her new business that she's starting up. Sweet and Precious gifts. Then on Wednesday, Nicole and I are getting up early and going into town for when Primark opens as not to catch all the queues and busyness of Primark during the day. Then on the Wednesday night, I'm going out to the theater to see 'Our House' with Beth (my sister) and two other girls from work. Which will be really nice. Then on the Friday I have a friend and his family coming down to stay with us for the weekend. Rachel, David, Hannah and Johnny are all coming down on Friday. Just in time for the bowls event at our church on the Friday night. On the Saturday night there's a Dudley Youth Rally which we will all go to, I'm looking forward to that.
Then, the week after that its back to thinking 'what can I do with my time!?'

So, watch this space, as I might be blogging within those weeks of boredom just for something to do.

Hello all my wonderful readers! :D
I remembered to update my blog, aren't I good. This is a rare thing to be doing actually, as it is Friday afternoon, and I usually can't get on the computer on a Friday. But today I have been working, and because it is half term Jaffa (A children's club at which I help out at) is not on, so I have an hour with nothing to do. So I thought I mat as well stay on at work and use their computer and Internet...Don't you just love work!
Speaking of which, It will be my last day today at Birmingham Law Society, because On Tuesday 3rd June (This Tuesday coming!) I have my first two exams of the year. Then its all go...So I shall dearly miss this place...ok...maybe not! I shall miss the people :)

This week has been very good for me! =D Well, last weekend I went from work on Friday to Jaffa and YP, then went back to Hannah's for the night. Then Hannah and I travelled back to my house on the Saturday. She stayed Saturday and Sunday night then on the Monday. Her mum and dad, My mum, step-dad, sisters and brother-in-law (Jon) all went over to Kennilworth for a nice walk in the rain. Then we went over to Nicki and Andrew's house (for those of you who don't know she's my mothers best friend, she can't have children, so she's 'adopted' us and therefore is our other mother!) That was a lovely afternoon in which a lot of laughter was heard =D

Then back to work on the Tuesday, while Nicole went to the train station to meet up with a friend of ours who we had never actually met before! She was coming to stay for the week. We've been talking for about two years now, and one of my other friends have met her so we did know she actually existed! It has been great fun, resulting in bed at about 3 on Tuesday night, Wednesday sleeping in then work (as I had the morning off for my English class which is not on...) then come home, rent some DVDs and eat pizza! :D Thursday, early rise, work then got picked up and went to Kenilworth Castle and had fuuun =) Also a good talk with Charlieeee, because I had not much chance to talk to her because I was at work a lot of the time and she was staying in Nicole's bedroom.

Then today, Charlie left (Although I didn't see her go =[ ) Last day at work, and YP! :D That I'm looking forward to.
As well as revision tomorrow for my exams!

I think I've written enough =P I hope everyone has a great weekend! =)
Love and God bless,
Jo xxxx

I do apologise for not posting in...well lets say quite a while!!!
There has been too much to mention, so I'll just go over the big things-
Georgie left for France in December - Then we had Christmas in which it was the first Christmas without Georgie and Beth, Jon and Pippa came over =D Was really great!.
Then Jan, but I can't remember anything big happening then, so obviously it isn't worth writing about =) Feb...Oh wait...I had my interview for Solihull college in Jan(I got in!) =) nothing in Feb...March, started off with Nicole's birthday, then mothers day (in which Hannah B, Nic and I re-did our dance/song "I turn to you" was well fun!) Then in the middle of the month, I shocked everyone by having my hair totally re-styled (ok...so It's not THAT interesting...but its something to write about!) I'll have a picture up shortly. Then came Justin's wedding at the end of the month. (In which was also a shock to everyone because I wore a dress coming just below my knees and 4" high heels!!!!)
April, Georgie came home after 5 months away =)

Then it's this month, in which...quite a lot has happened already!
Lets see, long story short (if you want the long version then just comment and say!) I'm not going to college, I'm going to do an NVQ Level 3 AT Dudley zoo (in which I applied for a placement) He got back to me and said forget about college, you're reference was so good that you should do the NVQ AT the zoo! They only choose about 4 people every year to do it, and I'm one of them!!! So that was SUCH an answer to prayer! Then Birmingham Law Society, Beth's work (my oldest sister) has asked me to work for them for a month as 'General Admin' as I have worked here for four weeks before. So a nice bit of money coming in there :P

Then that will lead on into June and all my exams! :S I can't wait till after my exams, as I have a load of great things to look forward to in the summer. David coming for the weekend, Family holiday, Milnrow House-Party, UBM and YP week (My youth group) Then off to be working at the zoo!
Actually, I need an interview for working at the zoo yet, so my place isn't certain yet. So please pray for me as this would be a dream come true!!!

I think that's me for now, I must be off as my hour lunch break is over =)
I will be posting soon hopefully.
God bless you all,

November 26, 2007

Hello, well I'm sorry to have left it so long before I wrote to you again. It's been over a month, sorry!

Let's see what I've been doing...hmm well on the Saturday after I wrote to you last time Anna C (A good friend I made on UBM:-)) came down! Hannah, Anna and I all went back home from Birmingham (That's where we had to pick her up) and then we got home, picked up Georgie and Nicole and then Georgie drove us all over to Dudley to meet Si and Jonathan. We had a good day, playing some card games, went out for a walk and then in the evening went to a very good talk at Si's church (Dudley Baptist Church) on John Newton. I was very blessed. Then on the Sunday Anna had to go home :(

Then the weekend after that, Nicole had her two friends over from camp and I had Hannah over to keep me company! Was very fun and crazy and mad! Just the way I like it with Hannah =D
he he

Then the Saturday after that! (3Rd November) was my great aunt Maggie's surprise birthday party, that was very good to meet all my family who I've never met before! But then on the Sunday after, I felt sick and was ill and didn't go to church =( So that bit's not very good!

Then the week after, Mum and Al left for Ireland, I missed mum very much =( Because they left on the Wednesday and where coming back on the Monday, and Us three girls (Georgie, Nic and I) where going to Dad's from the Saturday till the Tuesday, so I almost didn't see mum for a whole week! he he.
But we all had a good time at dad's got together with some old friends which was really nice; we also met up with Anna C again, because she doesn't live two far away from dad's.

And last Saturday (November 17Th) I got my hair cut, went over to Si's house and spent the day with Si, Neil and Jonathan, which was very nice. Then in the evening was the Dudley Youth Rally. That was also very good and a very big blessing =D To which Georgie and Nicole came and then took me home..that bit I didn't really like! =(

Then in the last week, I've been to the German market, Hannah and come over, Nicole's gone away for the weekend and Ive done some Christmas shopping (today).

Then this weekend, Georgie and I are going to Tim R's Birthday party on the Saturday, and next week, next Friday... Georgie is going to France ='[ she's going to be away for Christmas as well *sniff sniff*. So I might write to you some time then. To tell you how up set I am and shed all my sorrows onto you..!

But I think this post is long enough for now, I hope you've enjoyed the read and not fallen asleep..*zzzzZZZZ* =P
May God bless you in all you do =D
Love and God bless!

October 15, 2007

Well...One week on almost exactly!
Last week, after the sad good bye of Menekse, I had to look after my sister and brother-in-law's dog all week. It was very boring and very tiring! But good =D

I had something to do every day all week! Tuesday I had to go to the farm, Wednesday I had my English class/test (blegh!), Thursday I had my History class (which was very depressing...we're doing WW1) then on the Friday I went to the farm, came home, did my hair in braids and went off to JAFFA! It was very fun at JAFFA, I haven't been for about two weeks because I've been busy etc, so it was nice to see everyone again. Then YP started, which Simon came along to (for those of you who don't know, but the chances that you don't know are slim!! Simon's my boyfriend =)) At YP we acted out the story of the woman by the well and Jesus. I was the woman! Then we answered some questions amongst our groups. Then it came time for most of the youth to go home while some stayed on for YP Plus (the plus is meant to be like 'young people plus Jesus, it's aimed more to the Christians of the YP) we looked through the end of chapter 9 of Esther. Was very good. Then came to time to go home...Where was I staying you might ask been so Hannah was in Portugal (cus she was that week!) I stayed at Simon's house!
Because the next day Simon, his family, his youth group and me were going out to Alton Towers and had to leave at an early time.

I got settled in OK, got to bed about 11 and didn't wake up till my alarm went off at 7 o'clock.
We all got ready to leave, we left for the church where Simon and I got out of the car into the mini bus...very exciting! I met his youth group (YFT= Youth For Truth) the journey was spent talking to one girl about what I did and the rest spent trying to figure out who was going round with who.
I ended up going around with Simon, Neil (he doesn't actually go to YFT, but used to. he's 29) James (He's in his twenties and he's SOO funny and laid back!) Matt (13, he's the guy who always says the funniest things at JUST the right time!) Jane (Neils friends) Jane's daughter, Molly (she was 10) and...Tom (15...you'll hear about him!)

We got there, and Neil and James, very kindly got Simon, Matt and Me fast track tickets which aloud us to not have to queue for: Oblivion, Air, Nemesis and the Flumes.
There are just TO many things to tell you about, but I will just mention a few.
Lets start with all the rides I went on:
Rita, Cork screw x3, flumes, Nemesis, air x2, Ripsaw, blade, river rapids x2, Duel, spinball wizer and Oblivion x3.
Simon spend about 5 minutes trying to persuade me NOT to go on Oblivion because I wouldn't like it. But I didn't listen to him! =P So Jane, Molly, James, Matt, Tom and I all went on. I LOVED it!!
The queue was REALLY LONG...but we had fast track tickets, so it didn't take long at all! But then all day Tom and I were saying that we wanted to go again...so towards the end of the day I suggested Tom and I go with Neil's, and Simon's fast track tickets (cus they didn't use theirs!) So we had half an hour before we had to be back at the car park, we went on Air the second time and straight after the ride, Tom and I took off to go to the other end of the park! Met by Andrew (Simon's dad who was in charge of the whole thing) telling us we had till 6 o'clock, which gave us a whole hour! So we walked over the Vally, and went on Oblivion...we had about 20 minutes left so we started to queue up for another ride. But that one was broken! So we went back on oblivion cus the queue wasn't too bad! We got off at about 10 to 6...we had to run to the entrance!! When we got there we then remembered we had to get the tram, we were waiting for the tram and it was 3 minutes to 6! We wee guna be in SO much trouble! But the tram finally came...and it broke down half way there for about half an hour!!!!!!!!!!!! We were like NOOO!!! But we said it'll be a good excuse for being late :P
The tram finally got fixed, we got off (YAY!)...then we got lost in the car park!! But we saw the mini bus and we were VERY happy!

But there was no one there...! But we turned around and saw Simon, Matt and Neil!! Poor Simon was SOO scared!

But all in all it was a BRILLIANT day!! =D
Sorry this post has been SO long!
Bye!!
